ABOUT US
WHO WE ARE
FLORESTA in Malawi is a registered Trustee (TRN-LDSBBB), and a member with Global Plant With Purpose Alliance. It is a country partner of Plant With Purpose country partner. The watersheds are its signature model of operation and is targeting a few key watersheds in the Viphya Plateau region of northern Malawi because of its steep terrain, deforestation, and level of poverty.
The heart of our mission is restoring relationships between people and planet, between people and one another, and between people and Creator. Broken relationships are at the root of oppression, inequality, and poverty. As a member Plant With Purpose Alliance, we believe in the inherent value, equality, and agency of all people. We work with people as partners, not projects. This sense of mutual respect and collaboration is at the core of our work and reflected in everything we do.
Floresta in Malawi assists local communities to restore the environment and improve their economic stability through regenerative agriculture, creation care and community-based savings groups. By addressing both environmental, spiritual and economic issues, Floresta supports the creation of a brighter future for the people of Malawi.
